the newspaper asks: yay or nay on bottled water?

KaileeIf people want to drink it, they can, but bringing your own bottle and refilling it is best.
Kailee

ShirleyI'm not for it. The bottles end up thrown on the ground and in the garbage, and it's better to buy a metal bottle than plastic ones; and then at least reuse it.
Shirley

ShaunI'm against it, due to the waste it creates, and plastic bottles are big germ collectors. People should buy their own reusable bottles.
Shaun

EmilyI don't know, I guess it's good if you're really thirsty, but it's bad for the environment.
Emily

ThadPersonally, I'm conflicted, although I'm really more of a milk drinker, personally.

I agree with Kailee - refilling your own Water Bottle is the best way to go. Try the EnviroPURE Vending Machine at the John Robarts Library. Instead of paying about $2. for the water and then tossing the empty plastic bottle, try the self-serve Water Vending Machine (at $.50). I'm not a student, I'm associated with the company that installed the machine. We don't advocate banning bottled water, to the contrary, we like "CHOICE" - the option to drink tap water, or to buy Bottled Water - or, to "Refill your own Bottle". The EnviroPURE Vending Machine allows you to drink Quality, Cold, Great Tasting Water that is protected from airbourne contaminates (at about one third of the cost when compared to pre-bottled water).
