It seems like the summer is flying by faster than we can enjoy it, and that can suck. But never fear, because the fall has plenty in store for us!

Many people might be looking forward to the glitz and glam of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). However, if you’re looking for something chiller, louder, and arguably more fun than seriously sitting still for a couple of hours, look no further than Just For Laughs 42 (JFL42)!

the newspaper has had its fair share of of laughs, from witnessing the likes of Trevor Noah and Aziz Ansari to showing love for homegrown acts like Faisal Butt, all while having something more to say—and ask—of these comedians about their work and the industry.

The comedy festival will be taking over Toronto from Thursday, September 21 until Saturday, September 30 at venues across the city, from the Royal Theatre to the Sony Centre. It will showcase a series of comedians from all over the world. Headliners include names like Bill Burr, John Mulaney and Ali Wong, and 42 (because why not?) other acts including Jay Pharaoh, Jenny Slate, Rhys Darby, and even the cast of The Beaverton!

the newspaper has been attending the festival for a few years now and enjoyed every round of it, so be sure to get your tickets now! JFL42 sells tickets to individual shows as well as passes (which come with a number of “credits” that are used to reserve spots in any combination of shows for headliners and the 42 acts, and after attending can be reused).

Hope to see you there!
