the newspaper's  Music Section attended the Wayhome Music and Arts Festival that took place in late July. The three day festival was hosted in Oro-Medonte and featured iconic musicians such as LCD Soundsystem, Metric, Mac DeMarco and Arcade Fire. In addition to eating tons of great food (vegan mac n’ cheese anyone?) and listening to some of our favourite indie acts, we also found some time to take some pretty rad photos. Rather than spending time telling you how wonderful every single moment that we spent on the festival grounds was, we decided we would show you with a photo essay.

Can you guess which two additions the newspaper's music section was responsible for? Allow me to give you a hint: one of us is always thinking about food and one of us is always thinking about politics...

This is the newspaper's Music Editor looking awkward.

We were expecting to fangirl over Metric but it was such an inspirational performance that we ended up just staring in awe the entire time.

Mac DeMarco drew out a massive crowd and made all of our hearts skip a beat.

Arcade Fire's setlist was golden from start to finish. They played every song the crowd wanted to hear. It was a dream come true.

Did you guys catch one of our favourite Toronto bands, Dilly Dally?

One of our music contributors walked through a shipping container filled with giant chimes. As you can see, it was pretty hype.

Haim closed out our weekend on a high note. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
